- 1842 became The Regiment of Khelat-i-Ghilzie
- 1861 became 12th Bengal Native Infantry
- 1864 became 12th (Khelat-i-Ghilzie) Bengal Infantry
- 1903 became 12th (Khelat-i-Ghilzie) Pioneers
- 1922 became 2nd/2nd Bombay Pioneers
- 1929 became The Corps of Bombay Pioneers
- 1933 disbanded
