- 1857 raised as Jallundur Punjab Regiment then regularized as 21st Punjab Regiment
- 1861 became 29th Regiment of Bengal Native Infantry
- 1864 became 29th (Punjab) Bengal Native Infantry
- 1885 became 29th (Punjab) Bengal Infantry
- 1901 became 29th Punjab Infantry
- 1903 became 29th Punjabis
- 1922 became 10th/15th Punjab Regiment
- 1947 allocated to Pakistan on Partition
