• 1885 became 16th Regiment of Bombay Infantry
• 1901 became 16th Bombay Infantry
• 1903 became 116th Mahrattas
• 1922 became 10th Battalion 5th Mahratta Light Infantry
• 1947 allocated to India on Partition
