3rd Sikh Pioneers
The 3rd Sikh Pioneers was formed in 1923 as part of the Indian Army reorganization which took place in 1922.

Subsequent History
- February 10, 1933: disbanded as an economy measure
- October 1, 1941: 1st Battalion "Mazhbi and Ramdasia Sikhs" reraised at Jullundur
- July 1, 1942: 2nd Battalion "Mazhbi and Ramdasia Sikhs" reraised at Peshawar
- August 15, 1942: 3rd Battalion "Mazhbi and Ramdasia Sikhs" reraised at Sialkot
- June 23, 1944: renamed Sikh Light Infantry
