Gaekwar's Petlad Railway

The Gaekwar's Petlad Railway was opened in May 1890 between Petlad and Anand, a distance of 13 miles(21km). It was a broad gauge(BG) line and worked by Bombay, Baroda and Central India Railway(BB&CIR). [1] [2]

The railway was owned by by the Princely Baroda State. [1]

In 1901 extensions were added bringing the track length to 32 miles(51km) and the entire line was worked by BB&CIR. At about this time it was renamed the Petlad-Cambay Railway
