The Gauhati Rifles were a volunteer corps based Gauhati (now Guwahati) in Assam.

Chronology

1885 raised as Gauhati Rifles on 13th November^[1]
1891 amalgamated on 6th November with several other corps to become the Assam Valley Mounted Rifles^[1]
