Rangoon Port Commissioner's Railways
1877 - the Custom House iron wharf was constucted in the Port of Rangoon. As part of the construction, 330 yards (300 metres) of rail and two 9 foot(2.7 metre) wagons were used for laying the wharf. The gauge and means of propulsion is not known [1].
1909-11 - the eastern section of the Rangoon Town Reclamation Railway was chiefly occupied with finishing the reclaiming of Hooper’s Yard for the Rangoon Port Commissioner and raising the land between Bulloch Brothers Mill and Monkey Point Battery for the Bombay Burma Trading Corporation. 1934 - silting up of the foreshore around the Magazine at King's Bank made it inaccessible by water. To overcome this an ambankment was built from the King's Bank Settlement to the Magazine. A 2ft/610mm narrow gauge(NG) trolley line, 6795 feet (2.1km) was laid on the embankment to convey explosives The means of propulsion is not known [1]
