1851 retitled the 3rd Regiment of Cavalry, Punjab Irregular Force
1861 became the 3rd Punjab Cavalry, Punjab Frontier Force
1903 became the 23rd Cavalry (Frontier Force)
1922 merged with the 21st Cavalry to become 11th Prince Albert Victor's Own Cavalry (Frontier Force)
1927 became Prince Albert Victor’s Own Cavalry (11th Frontier Force)
1947 allocated to Pakistan on partition
1956 became 11th Cavalry (Frontier Force)
