Ganjam District Light Railway - surveyed 1899 but did not go ahead in entirety.

Proposals were made in 1899 by a syndicate for the construction of a network of 2ft 6in/762mm narrow gauge(NG) light railways based on Parlakimedi in the Ganjam district and a link to connect with the East Coast State Railway(ECSR) at Naupada [1]

The total length of the system proposed to be constructed by the Raja of Parlakimedi and worked by the syndicate was about 245 miles(390km). There is no evidence that the syndicate proceeded with the project.

One of the sections from Naupada to Parlakimedi (25 miles/ 40km) was opened in 1900 by the Parlakimedi Light Railway and worked by the Bengal-Nagpur Railway(BNR) from 1902. [2]
