This is in the index as Battle of Hindun. Col Brind was in the Kheri district on 18 November 1857 so this is clearly an error. Should be re-titled Battle of Mehndi. Also Oxford DNB misspells the location Mehudi presumably confusing handwritten n and u.--Sy 09:10, 16 January 2009 (PST)

Comment on Battle Location

The contemorary account describes the village of Mehndi as to the east of Aliganj in the Kheri district near the a branch of the Chokha (Chauka) river. Coordinates are approximate.--Sy 09:10, 16 January 2009 (PST)
