Elmac - short for Elaine MacGregor - I am a Trustee / Director of FIBIS - I was Membership Secretary and Treasurer for four years but then decided that I would like to do some more more research into my own families so resigned from both these jobs a few years ago. I am also a member of the SOG and the GOONS and am doing a one name study into my maiden name WOODNUTT and my husband's maternal name VANDERVORD.
I knew that my father and grandmother were both born in India, but until I joined FIBIS and started research into the India Office records had no idea that I had ancestors in India as far back as a marriage in 1802.
