- 1818 raised as 32nd Regiment of Bengal Native Infantry following 1796 reorganisation when previous 32nd was absorbed by 1st Regiment
- 1824 2nd Battalion became 64th Regiment of Bengal Native Infantry under Major N Bucke
- 1857 disarmed and moved from Peshawar 11 May
