Originally formed from the Bombay Light Horse and the Bombay Light Motor Patrols of the Bombay Contingent. Constituted the Bombay Light Patrol in 1933.

Badge - Eight-pointed star surmounted by a crown. In the centre of the star the Bombay Coat of Arms encircled by a hand inscribed with motto. A scroll inscribed "Bombay Light Patrol" is below.
Motto - "Urbs Prima in Indis"
