The Bombay Battalion were an auxiliary regiment under the Bombay command.

  • 1877 raised on 15th August as Bombay Volunteer Rifles[1]
  • 1917 1st April became 16th Bombay Battalion[2]
  • 1920 redesignated the Bombay Battalion on 1st October[2]
