- 1804 raised as 2nd Btn 30th Regiment of Bengal Native Infantry following 1796 reorganisation when previous 30th became 2nd Btn 8th Regiment
- 1824 2nd Battalion became 60th Regiment of Bengal Native Infantry under Major C Bower
- 1857 mutinied at Rhotuck (Rohtak) 10 June
