Bengal Nagpur Railway Battalion
Originally raised as the Bengal Nagpur Railway Volunteer Rifle Corps on the 15th June 1888 and amalgamated on the 18th November 1898 with the Orissa Volunteer Rifles before being reorganised into a Corps of two Battalions in 1903. Became the 36th Bengal Nagpur Railway Regiment on the 1st April 1917 and then the Bengal Nagpur Railway Regiment on the 1st October 1920. Became the Bengal Nagpur Railway Battalion on 13th April 1933.
