Pierre André de Suffren
Comte Pierre André de Suffren de Saint Tropez, bailli de Suffren (1729-1788) was a French admiral who commanded a squadron sent to help the Dutch against the British during the Seven Years War. He fought several indecisive actions against the British admiral Sir Edward Hughes.
