==Second World War==
The regiment was in India until June 1940, then alternated between Aden and British Somaliland until May 1942, then Persia to January 1943, followed by Iraq and Syria to September 1943. The regiment arrived in Italy in September 1943 and remained until June 1945 when it returned to India.<ref> dryan67.
