  • 1861 brought into Bengal Army as 30th Bengal Native Infantry
  • 1864 became 30th (Punjab) Bengal Native Infantry
  • 1885 became 30th (Punjab) Bengal Infantry
  • 1901 became 30th Punjab Infantry
  • 1904 became 30th Punjabis
  • 1922 became 1st/16th Punjab Regiment
  • 1947 allocated to Pakistan on Partition
  • 1956 became 13 Punjab
