==''Monthly Army List''==
''Monthly Army List'' was an official War Office publication, which commenced August 1881 under this title and ceased after May 1940. (No issues published for Dec. 1897 and Jan. 1898). Based on library catalogues, Bodleian Libraries, University of Oxford, and the National Library of Scotland may have the best collections. The British Library holds a broken range of editions from October 1881 (UIN: BLL01013821218). The National Archives also holds Monthly Lists which are part of the Library collection<ref>David_Underdown.
