The 'Burma, Yonbin Forest Tramway' in the 'Northern Division' was leased by the 'Burma Forest Department' to [[Steel Brothers & Co Ltd, Burma|Steel Brothers & Co Ltd]] under a concession agreements. The 2ft 6in/762mm narrow gauge([[Rail_gauge#Narrow_Gauge|NG]]) tramway was laid in 1928-29 and used to carry trees to the [[Burma Railway]] which were then transported to the Swa Sawmill for conversion into timber. A skidding machine was used to carry the trees to the tramway.
