The '''Cooch Behar State Railway''' (CBSR) was originally a 2ft 6in/762mm narrow gauge([[Rail_gauge#Narrow_Gauge|NG]]) line that ran north from its junction with the [[Eastern Bengal Railway]] at [[Gitaldaha]] to [[Cooch Behar]] and on to [[Jainti]] in the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas.
Owned by the State of [[Princely states|Princely ]][[Cooch BeharState]], it was worked by the [[Eastern Bengal Railway]]. In 1910 the line was converted to metre gauge([[Rail_gauge_#Metre_Gauge|MG]]).
