The '''Government of India (GOI) - Railway Board ' ' 'Rule Under the rule of the British Crown from 1858 to 1947 over the Indian Subcontinent. In respect , the ownership of the Railways progresively , progressivly from 1868 onwards, ownership was aquired by GOI. The management and organisation of these aquired Railways was delegated to the Railway Board.
