'''Hazara''' is was a historic region consisting of the present day districts of Abbottabad, Batagram, Haripur, Kohistan and Manshera. It also includes the tribal area of first in [[Black Mountain area|Black MountainPunjab]] (Kala Dhaka) (within Manshera district) as well as and later when it was transferred to the [[GalliatNorth West Frontier Province]] (within Abbottabad district), on the latter's creation in 1901. It then became one of its five districts.
