'''General Sir Henry Dermot Daly KCB CIE GCO (1821-1895)''' was an army officer in the [[East India Company]]. He joined the [[1st Bombay European Regiment]] in 1840 and served in the [[2nd Sikh War]]. He raised the [[21st (Prince Albert Victor's Own) Cavalry (Frontier Force)|1st Punjab Cavalry]] in 1849 and fought on the North West Frontier under Sir [[Colin Campbell]]. He commanded the [[Guides Cavalry]] and was present at the [[Siege of Delhi]] and the [[Relief of Lucknow].] He comanded the brigade of three regiments of [[Hodson's Horse]] in the [[Oude Campaign]]. He commanded the [[Central India Horse]] and was a political officer in Central India. He retired to his native Isle of Wight.
