The principal aim of the '''Indian Military Historical Society'Update, January 2021.'' is to act as a forum for the dissemination of knowledge of uniforms, medals, badges, buttons and other militaria, as well as the history of Service units both before and after Independence. The Society produces produced a quarterly journal called ''Durbar''.

The Index was classified according to subjects such as Badges, Battles, Biographical, Medals, Regiments etc.. Journals were dated from Volume 6, No.4 (Winter 1989), but these dates have been were excluded from the Index.
The journals published There are three ''Durbar''s in 2011 are the Archive Sample, the latest being Volume 2830, No. 1, Spring 2013.

Oxford University Library (England) holds copies from Volume 16 No. 3 (Autumn 1999), catalogued as ''Durbar : journal of the Indian Military Historical Society''.
