Changes

In 1873, a third class municipality was established consisting of 16 members.

Mollie Ellis from Kohat cantonment was kidnapped by Afridi tribesmen from the Khyber Pass region on 14 April 1923. The rescue expedition included Mrs Lilian Starr, matron at the [[Peshawar]] Mission Hospital. For more details see:
