The Presidency of [[Bengal]] mainly included the modern-day states of [[West Bengal]] (including [[Calcutta]]), [[Bihar]] and [[Orissa]]. At times the Presidency extended to [[Punjab]] and most of Northern India, extending west to parts of what is now [[Pakistan]], including [[Lahore]], [[Multan]], [[Peshawar]] and [[Rawalpindi]]. It includes returns from the British colonies of [[Burma]], [[Malacca]] and [[Singapore]].
