*This 1998 India List [http://archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com/th/read/india/1998-07/0901353945 post] advises the researcher visited the school and saw some old records including an especially useful series of printed Annual Reports of the 1870s to early 1880s which included a listing of every child in the school. After that the practice appeared to cease. The British Library has Reports from 1849-1873 (broken sequence) in its [http://catalogue.bl.uk/F/6H7KSYB3MB1X2Q2HSJD1HJ3Q7TU2BPIGJMKUYXRMBTQ8D16T1E-16359?func=find-b&request=Lawrence+Asylum&find_code=WTI&adjacent=N&image.x=67&image.y=14 catalogue]. However, it is not known whether these are the same documents referred to in the India List post.
