This problem appears to have mainly resolved, but experienced ongoing intermittent problems and currently (20172018/01) it appears are unavailable. Even when available, the Search may not locate all archived past posts are being found in the Search. As an interim measure, you may be able to locate some past posts by googling your search term together with ''site:archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com/th/read/INDIA'', but the possibility remains that not all past posts will be located.If you locate a past post via Google, the cached version (located under the triangle icon) may be the only link which is accessible.
As you may appreciate, asking the same beginner questions to the list can become tiresome for the regulars on the List. It is also recommended to 'lurk' in the background if you are new to mailing lists (or even the INDIA List) and get a 'feel' for the format of questions and 'list etiquette'.
