These volumes may be read online, but the volumes are not searchable. Some volumes, 1846 and 1872- 1942 (broken series) are also available on the website "DSpace at West Bengal State Central Library" under the subject category [http://dspace.wbpublibnet.gov.in/dspace/items-by-subject?subject=GAZETTEERS Gazetteers] as pdf files. Theoretically the pdfs are searchable, but in practice do not appear to be.
