=== Searching for and reading books in The Internet Archive site ===
The Internet Archive has the texts of more than six million out-of-copyright texts on its siteand Open Library offers over 8, either for reading online or downloading for personal use000,000 fully accessible public domain eBooks. These notes aim to help you retrieve what you are looking for.
# Go to the website https://archive.org where  On the home page you will see several types of material that can be accessed (Video, Audio etc.). Go to the far right a row of the second row down icons and click on Texts.# Don’t be put off by the apparent complexity of the next page!two search options below:

3. Suppose If you are interested in books with titles mentioning journeys (to, from or within) India published in hover the period 1800–1850. Fill in mouse pointer over each icon you will see the appropriate boxes as shown below. Note that you must fill range of media included in year, month and day for each date or the search won’t workdatabase.

The Be prepared to rephrase the search results if you have no luck. In this case, entering “journeys india” found nothing. To the right of the Results screen you will look see something like this:

If you chose PDF (Google.com) choose the one indicated you will be taken able to a Google Books pageread the text in book form. Look for Use the “wheel” icon icons at the top bottom right of thepage and click on the small triangle screen to move between pages or change the right of itlayout. In  If you now choose the dropdown menu, click on lens icon you can search for words in the bottom choice, and follow text (theinstructionssearch can take a minute or two).

Notice that in the lower half, in the white section and to the right, there is a choice of download options. The PDF choice is usually a good bet if you want the whole text for future reference.jpg]]
