'''Sir Robert Rollo Gillespie (1766–1814)''' was a British soldier who came to India in 1804 in command of the [[19th Lancers|19th Light Dragoons]]. He led the troops which put down the [[Vellore Mutiny]]. He commanded the advance column in the [[Java Expedition]] in 1811 and led one of the four columns in the [[Gurkha War]]. He was killed leading the attack on the fort at [[Battle of Kalunga|Kalunga]] in 1814.
