==Indians in the Royal Artillery==
Prior to 1924, there were a limited number of Indians who were part of the Royal Artillery, although they were not generally eligible to serve. During the [[First World War]] there were Lascars Indian soldiers serving in the Royal Artilleryas drivers, with some examples of Indians and native gunners in the Royal Horse Artillery,ammunition columns serving as wagon-men. <ref>Sepoy.
