:Thomas Bovius Ralph Woodrooffe was in the Royal Navy from 1917 and became Lieutenant-Commander in 1929, retired/was dismissed in 1933 and then served in WW2. ''In Good Company'', published 1947 is a memoir about his WW2 service as a Naval Observer. He also wrote a number of other books on naval matters.
