In 1886 the Sindia State Railway was operating out of Agra Cantonment station along with Rajuputana Railway.<ref>[http://www.mocavo.co.uk/A-Gazetteer-of-the-Territories-Under-the-Government-of-the-Viceroy-of-India/898609/1015#9]"Gazetteer of the Territories Under the Government of the Viceroy of India – 1886"]; Retrieved 13 Dec 2015</ref>
There is no clear information on the history thereafter. It is thought that the line was being worked by [[Indian Midland Railway]](IMR) in 1890
It seems most likely that the Sindia State Railway joined with the IMR which had a comparatively brief existence before being amalgamated in 1900 with the [[Great Indian Peninsula Railway]](GIPR)
