== Summary ==
The control of Holland by the [[French]] in the [[:Category:Napoleonic War|Napoleonic War]] again brought [[Dutch]] trading interests in the Indies into conflict with the [[East India Company]]. Expeditions were sent from [[Madras]] which occupied Amboyna, Banda and Ternate but they were restored under the [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treaty_of_Paris_(1814) Treaty of Paris] in 1814.
