Changes

The other proposals were not apparently adoptedunder construction in 1906.<ref name ==Later Developments==name/>*Sutang The ‘[[Sylhet Branch Railway]]’ was constructed as a metre gauge ([[Rail_gauge_#Metre_Gauge|MG]]) branch line from [[Kalaura] to Madna, reconnoitred [[Sylhet]]. This railway opened in 1898 – 30 milesstages from 1911 and completed in 1916. The line was part of the [[Assam-Bengal Railway]](ABR) and connected to the ABR mainline at [[Kalaura]] - [[Sylhet Branch Railway| ''see separate page'' ]].*Srimangal (Sreemangal) is on the ABR main line and a branch line to Manumukh, reconnoitred in 1898 – 22 milesManumuka (Moulvibazar) leaves there.*Kalaura via Sylhet to Chhatak, reconnoitred in 1898 – 53 milesSutang is also on the ABR main Line.*Lastly the Karimganj (Karamanji) line is covered by the Maymaman Singh to Chandi Khira,with branch from Pathar Kandri Barihab Bazar to Magura Cherra, reconnoitred in 1897 – 43 milesABR line.
