* ‘Kalaura via Sylhet to Chhatak’, reconnoitred in 1898 – 53 miles
* ‘Karimganj to Chandi Khira’, with branch from ‘Pathar Kandri Bazar to Magura Cherra’, reconnoitred in 1897 – 43 miles

The other proposals were not apparently adoptedunder construction in 1906.<ref name ==Later Developments==name/>*Sutang The ‘[[Sylhet Branch Railway]]’ was constructed as a metre gauge ([[Rail_gauge_#Metre_Gauge|MG]]) branch line from [[Kalaura] to Madna, reconnoitred [[Sylhet]]. This railway opened in 1898 – 30 milesstages from 1911 and completed in 1916.
