Chronology

1835 Shekhawati Brigade raised by the British under the command of Henry Forster and funded by the Maharajas of Jaipur and Bikaner to control dacoits
1847 became the Shekhawati Battalion
1861 became 13th Bengal Native Infantry
1884 became 13th (Shekhawati Regiment) Bengal Native Infantry
1903 became 13th Rajputs (The Shekhawati Regiment)
1922 became 10th Shekhawati Battalion, 6th Rajputana Rifles
1947 allocated to India on Partition
