Seeking information regarding uniform worn by John Tassaker 1874-1924

Hoping to obtain information of rank, regiment or some idea as to date of photograph.

A WW1 Medal card has been found online for John Tassaker of the Cheshire Regiment. Also Manchester roll of Honour states he was a Private in the 1st Cheshire Regiment who "volunteered at outbreak of war in August 1914 and following May was sent to Dardanelles...." He is also noted to have then served in Egypt before preceding to Frace where he was demobbed.

Photograph was taken in India so hoping to find out what he was doing there - maybe dating unifrm would give a clue...

Any observations to assist would be appreciated.
