Cuttack-Midnapore-Calcutta Survey
The Survey was undertaken in 1894 as part of Bengal-Nagpur Railway(BNR) network.
Edward Gerald James McCudden, Executive Engineer from the the Public Works Department was employed on this Survey in 1894 from March until November [1].
The line opened in 1899 and was extended 1901
