Dhanbad, Jealgore Colliery Railway

The 'Jealgore Colliery' at Dhanbad, 8 km north of Jharia, and situated within Jharia Coal Field, was developed first to supply the railways. [1].

The record shows that a 2ft/610mm narrow gauge(NG) locomotive, dating from 1920 was working at this colliery [2].
