In 1914 'Burn & Co Ltd' supplied the Great Indian Peninsula Railway(GIPR) with a 'Caillet System Monorail' for use on this project. It consisted of 14 miles of Caillets system rails and fittings, 20 mineral trucks, 10 side tipping cars for ballast and 10 box vans with movable flap sides for conveyance of bulky goods.
