Assam Saw Mill & Timber Railway
The 'Assam Saw Mill & Timber Company', with Bird & Company as Managing Agent opened at Sadiya in 1920. It manufactured plywood for the construction of tea chests for the local tea industry. The factory after World War Two moved from Sadiya to Namsai [1].
