Naihati, Gourepore Co Ltd Jute Mill Railway
The 'Gourepore Co Ltd' operated a Jute Mill at Naihati, North 24 Paraganas District with 'Barry & Co' which became 'Macneil & Barry Ltd' as Managing Agent. In 1917 it was operating with 1255 looms [1].
The records indicate that a broad gauge(BG)system was operational at the mill [1].
