The '''South Bihar Behar Railway''' opened Company was formed in 1879 connecting 1895. The railway was privately owned by the '''South Bihar Behar Railway Company''' and was leased to the State to be worked as part of the [[East Indian Railway]](EIR ) network.The railway was taken over by the Government of India([[Government of India |GoI]]) in 1906 but continued to be operated by the EIR < ref name=Admin/>.[
