Three ships of the name of 'Bombay' appear in the above list, of which the last, launched in 1793, was the thirty-eight-gun frigate which, in 1805, was handed over to the Royal Navy, with the 'Cornwallis', fifty-six guns, the ships being re-named respectively the 'Ceylon' and 'Akbar'. Ships Built in Bombay 1736 to 1863
