  • 1824 raised as the 97th (The Earl of Ulster's) Regiment of Foot at Winchester
  • 1881 united with 50th (The Queen's Own) Regiment of Foot , and became the 2nd Battalion, The Queen's Own (Royal West Kent Regiment)
  • Then see 50th Regiment of Foot
