- 1861 became 18th Regiment of Bengal Native Infantry
- 1864 became 18th (Alipore) Regiment of Bengal Native Infantry
- 1885 became 18th Regiment of Bengal Infantry
- 1902 became 18th Musulman Rajput Infantry
- 1903 became 18th Infantry
- 1922 united with 6th Jat Light Infantry, 119th Infantry (The Mooltan Regiment), and 10th Infantry, to form 4th Bn, 9th Jat Regiment
