Igatpuri was a town in the Nasik District during the British period. See Bombay Districts. It was situated on the Great Indian Peninsula Railway (now the Central Railway) 35 miles south-west of Nasik and 85 miles from Bombay and was a major railway station which included a locomotive workshop.
